# Add product review apps to my theme

Collecting and showcasing reviews on your online store is vital to building trust with your customers because reviews act as an impactful form of social proof.&#x20;

[Shopify product review apps](https://apps.shopify.com/categories/store-design-social-proof-product-reviews) are necessary for your eCommerce store because they help you gather reviews from your customers and easily display them on your storefront.&#x20;

If you've already decided on the best-fit product review app and [had the option installed](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/apps/working-with-apps#install-an-app) in your Shopify store, follow the steps below to add the review feature to your products.

By following this instruction, we assume you've already had Shopify's [Product Reviews](https://apps.shopify.com/product-reviews) app installed and ready to go.

## To add the review stars&#x20;

The product rating badge shows the number of product reviews and the aggregated rating of the product.

You can display the review stars on your [Product details](https://zest-docs.foxecom.com/collections-and-products/product-page/page-sections/product-information) and/or [Product cards](https://zest-docs.foxecom.com/theme-settings/product-cards).&#x20;

### Add the review stars to your Product information section

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and clic **Customize**.
3. In the product page template, navigate to the **Product information** section.
4. Click **Add block**, and add a **Product rating** block.
5. Optional: Move the rating block to the place you want in the section.
6. Click **Save**.

### Add the review stars to your Product cards

Steps:

1. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click **Customize**.
2. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**.
3. Navigate to **Theme settings** > **Product cards**.
4. Check the option **Show product rating**.&#x20;
5. Click **Save**.

## To add the reviews or review form

The **Review widget** is the core widget, which collects and shows the product reviews on your product pages. You can display the review form as a **new section** or as part of the **Product information tabs** section of your product page.&#x20;

### Add the review widget as a new section

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click **Customize**.
3. Navigate to the product page template to which you want to add the review form block.
4. Click **Add section**.
5. From the drop-down menu, in the **Apps** section, select the Reviews app block.
6. Optional: Move the **Reviews** section to the place you want it on the page.
7. Click **Save**.&#x20;

### Add the review widget to the Product information tabs section

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and click **Customize**.
3. Navigate to the product page template to which you want to add the review form block.
4. Select the **Product information tabs** section > click **Add block**.
5. From the drop-down menu, select the **Product reviews** block.
6. Optional: Move the **Reviews** block to the place you want in the section.
7. Click **Save**.&#x20;
